Ventures Thrive Announces 6 Winning Startups to Join European Union-funded Programme for Sustainable Innovation

[Wroclaw, 30th May 2023]

Ventures Thrive, a leading DeepTech startup support programme - funded by the European Union - is excited to reveal the inaugural cohort of six standout participants. Each has been chosen for its focus on sustainable solutions designed to safeguard the health of our planet. These startups are now poised to embark on a transformative journey, driving sustainable innovation within their respective industries.

Out of a pool of twelve exceptional startups, six were distinguished as victors, and lauded for their strong alignment with European sustainability objectives. The winners captured the jury's attention with their visionary ideas and unwavering commitment to sustainability, setting them apart from their formidable competition. Their triumph underscores their innovative strategies and signifies their potential to shape a more sustainable future.

The selected startups - Arvio Energy, VCG.AI, SeaSoil, Bluana, WindTAK, and Green0meter - were chosen during a pitching contest that took place at the main stage of Wolves Summit by a competent jury included Robert Grygorowicz (SpeedUp Venture Capital Group), Michael Holtkamp (LG Future Home), Jarek Bialek (Revenue Capital), José Miguel Salazar (PwC Polska), and Kamila Chmielewska (EIC Accelerator). The judges applied their substantial expertise and knowledge to the evaluation process.

Ventures Thrive is now primed to bolster these winning startups via a comprehensive six-month growth programme. This journey will include workshops, masterclasses, mentoring, and coaching, all designed to enhance their investment readiness. Additionally, startups that are addressing specific Corporate Challenges will be given the chance to work directly with partner corporates, thereby increasing their potential for meaningful impact.

Commenting on the importance of sustainability, Adriane Thrash, Managing Partner at Anthology Ventures, said, "Sustainability lies at the core of our programme and the startups we support. We firmly believe that sustainable innovation is crucial for building a better future. These selected startups have shown exceptional potential to drive positive change and contribute to a more sustainable world."

As the journey unfolds, the programme will culminate in a grand celebration of the startups' achievements in front of an esteemed audience comprising investors, corporates, mentors, and press attendees. During this event, the top three startups will be honoured and awarded with further equity free funding, recognising their remarkable accomplishments and the impact they have made throughout the programme.

Ventures Thrive is excited to embark on this journey with the winning startups and looks forward to witnessing their growth, success, and contributions to sustainable innovation.
